Challenge
Incorrect placement of the linear barcode in relation to the 2D code—when both are present—can lead to double reads, especially in retail environments.
Solution
Datalogic smart cameras are configured to verify that the linear barcode is positioned at a predefined distance from the 2D code, in accordance with GS1 guidelines. Any deviation automatically triggers an alert and/or label rejection sent to the customer.
